The Truth about Home Inspectors

Many ex-contractors, handymen, and retirees try to be home inspectors. On the surface it appears to be an easy business to start. They buy a cell phone, a ladder and a few tools.
Their office is located in their basement or spare room. They print some business cards and some brochures and they’re off!

It may sound tempting to call this type of operator. Many of them only do 1 or 2 inspections a week. They say you’ll get that personal touch. However, where will they be six months from now? What if there’s a problem?

Maybe in 6 months they’ll have a vending route or will be making a fortune on eBay.
